Ok ….so I decided to be be a solo adventurer in June and St. Vincent was my break out moment. Searching around online for things to do and places to see I found Sailor Tours long story short…..the BEST decision I ever made!!!
I told Shimano my schedule and ask that he planned my tours around that because i want to see and do as much with two full days and a half a day and that he did.
He was waiting for me at the airport and even though i arrived in the night, i got a little history of the town on my way to the hotel. The next morning bright and early my island tour started. Desmond extremely knowledgeable and friendly was my guide and I told him that I wanted to see as much as i can and that i did. Fort Charlotte, Black Sands beach (which he ensured that i had enough time on my tour to take a swim on our way back to town), Pirates of the Caribbean film site, Dark Falls…other small scenic stops on the way. For those of you like me, when you hear Black Sands beach you think “hmmm no”… well I had to eat my words…YES!!! Please ensure that it’s included in your stop, the water is CRYSTAL clear.
The next day, I was off to Bequia (this was not a guided tour I went on my own)….did they have to pick me up from the hotel and drop me to and from the ferry..no….but they did. Me being directionally challenged and traveling alone and being female safety is important and that I extremely appreciated.
Overall, hands down I would recommend Sailors Tours, it’s the best tour company without breaking the your bank account and both tours included lunch and not just some small finger food..it was actual food
My third and final day ….La Soufriere Volcano hike… now the weather wasn’t the best had a bit of rain and mist so the view from the top wasn’t what I was hoping for, but Ozzie my guide was excellent, we had a blast and when we got to the top it was the best feeling I ever experienced ( I mentioned the weather, because nobody can predict the weather and you can’t get upset about that, neither were we in any danger, and the rush i felt climbing 4,049 ft in that mist and rain was exactly what i needed, so yes there was an upside) after lunch we made it back to town in time for me to shower to get to the airport. Shimano of course picked me up and everything ran according to clock work.
Overall, hands down I would recommend Sailors Tours, it’s the best tour company without breaking the your bank account and both tours included lunch and not just some small finger food..it was actual food and we all know traveling alone doing guided tours can be a little more expensive than group travels, but they ensure that everything fit my budget and I have zero complaints.
Thanks guys…
